Adam Schwartz was born in New Haven, CT.
He received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography from New York University
and a Masters of Fine Arts in Art from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
His work is a combination of sculpture, video and drawings dealing with the defining of an
American masculine identity through the prisms of popular culture, nostalgia, aggression,
and boredom. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he teaches web design, digital
art and photography at the University of California-Irvine, California State University-
Fullerton and the Art Institute of California-Orange County.
